Serving Western Canada's Meat Marketers

Food Safety

CPM is registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) as establishment number 657. This means that we have a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system (prerequisite programs and HACCP plans) in place that meets the Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP) requirements as required by section 29 of the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

CPM has a HACCP Coordinator on-site to continually monitor our food safety systems, as well as, full time CFIA inspection.

Our advanced meat traceability system also enables for an efficient computerized recall program as we track any given product from a specific production date to a specific set of customers that received shipments.

Physical Segregation

Unique to CPM is our ability to physically segregate species into one of our three carcass coolers. This ensures that there is no cross contamination between species and that each clients lot of animals is cooled uniformly.
